Payroll Coordinator - Canada and USA Payroll

Job Description

Our client is looking for a Payroll Coordinator to manage their North American payroll.

We are looking for someone with strong experience managing both American and Canadian Payroll, particularly with a unionized workforce. 

Our client is a leading multi-trade Industrial contractor in North America and performs over 2 million man hours a year.

This position is looking for a long-term candidate who can manage this crucial operation.

 

Location:

Candidates can either work out of our Buffalo, New York office or our Franklin, TN office. We are also open to Canadian residents who can commute to our  Buffalo, NY location daily.

Compensation:

  • $100K+ Salary

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of payroll experience
  • Extensive knowledge of both United States and Canadian payroll requirements
  • Experience in a Unionized company in a payroll capacity

 

Responsibilities:

  • Implement and review payroll processes
  • Ensure compliance with both Canada and USA federal, state/provincial, and local payroll, wages, labor laws, and best practices
  • Filing payroll tax returns
  • Ensure compliance with collective bargaining agreements and other Union laws
  • Report directly to the CFO
